New Generation of AGIT in Service
Intense development, scientific research, everyday simulations and most important a great and hard working team have enabled to unfold the next generation of AGIT.
For nearly 250 kilometers of pipeline, our close partners tested AGIT's new generation. The results are very promising to the marked and verification digs have shown that the new development is a full success.
Now, the new generation of the inspection tool is finally ready to be used and serviced in the global market.
Through a new shape, modifications in the electronics and modified 3D-alignment of our high precision sensors, we have lifted non-invasive inspection from above ground to the next level. Meaning that, for the first time, a remote pipeline inspection technology is now on the market, which is capable of clearly differentiating between signal measured from the pipeline and noise generated from the environment of the pipeline. The most significant aspect, next to the new design and alignment of the sensors, is a differently evoked AC magnetic field, which is measured from above ground.
Daily simulations and experiments in the EMPIT laboratory made us learn the right field characteristics, in order to remotely assess the pipeline is safe and secure to operate or immediate repair action is needed. Knowing this, we use transformations enabling machine learning algorithms to reliably collect pipeline data and to search for anomaly patterns in order to find the most crucial metal loss features that might cause pipeline failure.
The outcome is a new inspection tool that can quickly and easily be operated in the field. It has received the biggest soft- and hardware updates in the history of EMPIT and fulfills the purpose of inspecting unpiggable pipelines safely and truly non-destructive.
If you have any questions regarding the new generation or want to inspect the unpiggable, please feel free to contact us anytime.
It’s for a reason that we are amongst Germany’s Top 100 innovators. Because our mission is to overcome these inspection challenges and, together with our clients, continuously improve the safety and reliability of all pipelines.
